Soham Seva reached out to cancer patients receiving treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, providing sleeping essentials to those forced to spend their nights on the streets outside, ensuring that the fight against illness is not made harder by a sleepless, uncomfortable night.
Tata Memorial Hospital, one of Mumbai’s leading cancer care centres, receives patients from across the country every day. With beds and lodges often beyond capacity, many patients and their families have no choice but to sleep outside on the roads. These are individuals already enduring one of life’s most difficult battles, they deserve at least the dignity of a clean, comfortable rest.
Following research on the ground and direct outreach to both the hospital and the affected individuals, we distributed mosquito nets, pillows and blankets to patients sleeping outside the hospital premises. Each item was chosen with care to offer protection, warmth and a basic sense of hygiene to those spending their nights in the open, far from home and in the middle of treatment.

We believe that compassion does not stop at the hospital gate. For the patients sleeping on pavements while fighting for their lives, we will find ways to show up for them with whatever comfort we can offer, however small it may seem.
