Our team visited government schools on the outskirts of Mumbai and Thane, placing learning essentials into the hands of children who needed them most, a small gesture with the power to change how a child experiences school.
A government school provides the foundation – textbooks, uniforms, a classroom. But the everyday tools of learning; a sharpened pencil, a fresh notebook, a compass set are often out of reach for many families. Soham Seva identified these gaps and set out to fill them, one kit at a time.
Volunteers distributed carefully assembled educational kits to students, containing stationery, notebooks, colour pencils, compass sets, drawing books, and other classroom essentials. Each item was chosen with the children’s actual needs in mind, ensuring that what was given was genuinely useful and joyfully received.
