Soham Seva’s volunteers reached out to families and individuals living on the suburbs of Mumbai, distributing wholesome, ready-made food packets to those without regular access to a meal.
In the margins of a city as vast as Mumbai, hunger is often invisible to the world but deeply felt by those living it. Many individuals and families in roadside settlements and slum areas go without a proper meal each day. Soham Seva’s food distribution initiative was born from the belief that no one should face that reality alone.
Volunteers surveyed the area ahead of the drive, identifying locations and individuals most in need. On the day of the distribution, 108 food packets, each prepared by Sadharmik containing roti, sabzi, a sweet, pickle, fruits etc. were handed directly to residents. Along with the food, the volunteers brought presence, warmth and a reminder that their community cares.

Each of the 108 packets distributed was more than a meal, it was a moment of dignity shared between neighbours. Soham Seva remains committed to finding those who are overlooked and showing up for them, one drive at a time.
