As the year ended, Soham Seva’s volunteers chose to spend their New Year’s Eve not in celebration but in service, ensuring that 108 homeless individuals had a warm, wholesome meal to end the year with.
While many gather with loved ones as the year turns, countless individuals on our streets face the night without food, shelter or company. Soham Seva believes that no moment of collective joy should leave the most vulnerable behind.
Volunteers identified homeless individuals across their area and on the last day of the year, distributed 108 ready-made food packets. It was a small gesture in the grand scheme of things but for each person who received a packet that evening, it meant being remembered.
